La torre conserva intatti due lati del muro perimetrale con alcune finestre. Danneggiato dal\u00a0terremoto dell&#8217;Aquila del 2009, \u00e8 stato restaurato e si sta cercando un modo per lo sfruttamento turistico del complesso. La facciata \u00e8 molto austera, il\u00a0campanile\u00a0\u00e8 a vela. L&#8217;interno \u00e8 assai semplice, a navata unica. La chiesa \u00e8 stata una delle prime abruzzesi, assieme a\u00a0San Clemente a Casauria, Santa Maria Arabona e Santa Maria di Casanova. Il complesso \u00e8 costituito da due corpi: uno pi\u00f9 antico che assume la forma di fortezza, con la pianta di una torre, e l&#8217;altro di fondazione duecentesca, sorto come ampliamento della vecchia\u00a0abbazia.
